Ibadan stood still on Thursday, September 25, 2025, as the ancient city gathered at the prestigious Ibadan Civic Centreto honour its monarch, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 81st birthday. The event, a glorious Mega Praise and Worship Concert, radiated joy, spirituality, and royal splendor.
Organized by Her Royal Majesty, Dr. (Mrs.) Bukola Ladoja, the Olori herself, the evening was more than a celebration — it was a divine thanksgiving for life, leadership, and legacy. The atmosphere overflowed with heartfelt worship as Evangelist Dr. Bola Are, Pastor Seye Oni, Pastor Livingstone Oluwole, and Adesola Akinola lifted the hearts of everyone present with soul-stirring praises and spirit-filled ministrations.
The hall brimmed with lovers of God, traditional rulers, Obas, Mogajis, and members of the high and mighty, all united in one voice of gratitude. It was a remarkable sight — royalty and reverence intertwined — as Ibadan’s most influential sons and daughters rejoiced with their king in songs of thanksgiving.
The concert marked not only the Olubadan’s birthday but also a celebration of his faith, humility, and the divine grace that continues to define his reign. Indeed, it was a night to remember — where culture met worship, and Ibadan once again proved that greatness thrives where God is honoured.
